There will never be justice on stolen land....

Last month My Grandmom passed on to her next journey, she was the "last of the mohicans" so to say in my direct bloodline. She was 100% Oneida- Iroquois native american. Her brother my great uncle Alec is the last of her direct bloodline. My heritage is slowly being dissolved into the melting pot lineage of America as we know it today. Thanksgiving is a great day of celebration in America, families travel from afar to be together and share time together, a few laughs and a few stories to carry on family legacy. I am no exception to that trait (football, food ,sleep), I also think that it is important to reflect on this day and how and why it derived. I try to make a thanksgiving post that will bring forth a new life lesson from an old thought. Viva Native Americana!!!!

Get home safe MomMom..Love you!

Awesome tatdudes day...

Stopped by to see the gents over at AWESOME DUDES printing, it's been a few moons since I've seen them, and their new location. The new spot is bitchin' and it is always fun to catch up with these guys. The awesome dudes gang are always good for a few laughs, whether it be a story, a new shirt, or poster they printed, or a new funny tattoo...This visit was no exception!

Papa Es....not related to popa Wu

A few shots from ESPO's recent show in San Fran, love the gritty approach he took with this show, and all the names that he wrote too. "Bobby Beck in 59" The cool thing about ESPO's stuff is he hides things in his ART that tie into his Graffiti career, so if you know him from his Graff career then his art is that much cooler, and the hidden little cues and jokes are really fresh and well executed. For instance that BOBBY BECK in 59' probably means nothing to almost everyone that went to that show, but to a small few it is pretty cool, and those people get it! Once again ESPO delivers. The alcoholic cop trying to get SOBER quote, if it means what I think it means is Beyond funny!

A majority of this post, are photos of cars that ED "Big Daddy" Roth built and a few others that I found here n there that compliment the post. If your not familiar with the design and build side of Ed Roth spend a few hours and research the man and his legacy. You may know him by his renown RAT FINK character, but his talent was far deeper then the little green bugged out eyed speed freak. His visions and customizations were light years ahead of their time. I am so drawn to the beauty an aesthetic elegance in his cars, sleek, mysterious, and classy combined with a rebellious hot rod attitude. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do, and if you do check out Big daddy's legacy for yourself, there is a lot to see the man was genius.

in to the wild-ness...

Bags were packed, blankets were rolled up, and the tent was dusted off and loaded into the car. In route to Jim Thorpe, Pa. to go camping for the weekend at a site that is dog friendly. So the journey began as 4 city slickers (2 human...2 k-9) ascending from South Philly, Pa. on a wilderness venture with our 2 dogs headed north to the foot of the Pocono mountains to an area called Jim Thorpe, named after one of my favorite american (also native american) athletes. Well, back to the trail..... we drove about 2 hours to get there with autumn's annual wrath as our scenery, the trees were posing as earths skeletal with almost no signs of life left. The colors were almost all browns up north already, the greens have been stolen from the foliage and the browns have staked their claim. Now, camping is fun, and it's been a few moons since I've been, so that in itself was exciting, but my Meliss had an even more thrilling plan for our outdoor escapade. Lately she has been really having fun Letterboxing, and geocaching, so she planned a side venture to our camping trip that had us navigating through nature in search of hidden treasures. I have been on a few missions with meliss before, and I really had fun, letterboxing is an interesting mix of things I like all packaged into a neat little pastime, almost like it's a mature legal version of all the things that interest me! We found some really neat stuff, It's usually all hand made and all the stamps are hand carved out of an old rubber school eraser, people are pretty creative with their pen names and icons to help accentuate the name. and it really was the icing on the cake to a great weekend getaway from the city blues...
