Motorcycles in war....some domestic, some Allied forces, some nazi...Motorcycles were used for scouting, most were equipped with utilitarian apparatus needed to survive and sustain during battle, some cycles were built with communication equipment to report reconacence back to the troops of enemy movement and tactics. Rescue units utilized the scoots for faster transport as well, all and all whats a better vehicle to travel through war torn city streets and dirt roads then a motorcycle with a gunman in the sidecar. The drab green and or camouflage flat paint jobs still look fitting on an old harley or indian, even if it's parked next to the shiny sparkly metal flaked chopper.
