Love of labor....

Amongst the fashion worlds fascination with the Heritage of american workwear, there needs to be a parallel respect for the men who wore the clothes, and the country that was behind them. Don't let the clothes pull the wool over your eyes, on why men wore these clothes. They didn't wear them because they were hip, they wore them because they were durable and withstood the elements in which they worked, and all of those clothes were made in the USA by union factory workers. Classic American style is unbeatable, and I love seeing it make a resurgence, I just want to give you a few things to think about next time you see the state of the economy on the TV, and perhaps be A little more aware of a a few things, Look at all the tags in your clothes and see where they are made, How many are made here, if any? When I was first initiated into the union my teacher at the apprentice school showed us a sticker that made total sense to me....The sticker had an American flag on it and it said " I spend it where I make it" That is the basis on my post, sure not all my belongings are USA made, but I make a little more effort to buy things that are made here, because I believe in everything that this country stands for and the people who fought, died, and worked their tails off to make it what it is today! Just a few words to edutain a few minds on a Labor day...Peace!
