Every Rose Has Its Thorn

Bret Michaels has his own drink and yes I know it's DIET, but if you know me I'm a sucker for new things. I've been trying to cut out all the overly sugared drinks, so yeah why not DIET? Bret, a lifelong Type 1 diabetic, developed DIET Snapple Trop-a-Rocka Tea to help raise money for the American Diabetes Association and its mission to prevent and cure diabetes. "I blended healthy green tea and tasty black tea with pear, cinnamon and mango flavors to create a rockin' taste with low calories. My new DIET Snapple Trop-a-Rocka Tea is taste bud-tested and rocker approved." said Bret Michaels. Trop-a-Rocka kinda tasted to me like a DIET version of the Snapple-Pie drink that was released a few years back. The Celebrity Apprentice-inspired teas were created as part of the shows final task and are now available nationwide for a limited time only.

awesome dude tatoosday..

Stopped by AWESOME DUDES PRINTING, their new location is Aplus with more space, filled with motorcycles plenty of other random sillyness, and awesomeness. Hung with Ralph for a few and tried to cram 6 months worth of catching up in about a half hour. He recently got some new toos from a friend of ours Steven Fowley that is finishing up his apprenticeship, and doing some solid tatters. If you need concert posters, or tees, or anything else that may need to be screen printed due holler atcha' boys over at Awesome dudes printing, there name is their address...(old Philly advertising related) on the internet that is...

This is the reason for my visit to the shop, A few of the Bad Luxperts got together and made this happen...On sale thursday at various locations throughout the City of Brotherly Love, and on the internet through email.
Details to come, and this is the beginning of us trying to make a comeback of dry goods and accessories alike.
Peace. I guess I can't wear my Blackhawks hat for a while....lol

meet and greet...

Over the last few months the BAD LUX gang has grown and we have quite a contributor list, some of which have been active some laying dormant like bears in hybernation. All in all I believe the blog has taken on an amazing platform with various perspectives and mindsets of thinkers and tinkers alike. I hope everyone else is enjoying the flow of things and the eclectic array of posting, that keeps you guessing...What next? Well, we have a new contributor and to welcome him aboard in BADLUX fashion, I would like to introduce LOCO-MOTIVE JOE. He shares lifestyle relevance to many on here, and is making some really cool handmade leather goods. Check him out and support american D.I.Y projects....

Riders on the storm...

last weekend was RIDE TO SKATE at FDR park in Philadelphia. It was an awesome day out, and there was a really good turnout of cool bikes from up and down the eastern seaboard, and even from below the the mason dixon, I even saw a few plates from as far as Texas. I'm pretty sure my skating days are behind me, I didn't even bring my board for fear of brutal injury, like what happened to me at the dustbowl last year during our Way Kool dude skate sesh....It makes for a hard day on the job after a bad skateboard mishappening. There was some gnarly shredding going on too...Locals were ripping, and out of towners as well. Didn't take many pics, heres a few iPhoneagraphs. Ran into a few old friends and even Style Crew members from Brooklyn. Overall FOTS hosted a Headbanger of a day...
